air castle

I used the air castle to make a tag, the background is Colorit and a rubbber stamp, the edges are Craft Twinkles by Deco Art, the quote is written usong Deco Art Paper effects

The digi is coloured using Prismacolor pencils and paper stump with odourless white spirit,. cut out and glued to the background.  The ribbon is coloured using distress ink in Peacock Blue and Mustard Seed, sprayed water on the ribbon, wrinkled it and used heatgun to dry and melt it a bit, that makes it look the way it is now, a bit aged and wrinkled.

The Air Castle is a Rick St. dennis digital stamp and can be found here

Spring Goddess

by Rick St. Dennis
This gorgeous image by Rick has been printed onto neenah cardstock (Thank you Lisa great Christmas gift) coloured with promarkers and Spectrum Noir pencils (Again thank you to Lisa and family... they bought me three tins!). I really wanted to create a sort of ethereal vibe to the image... all floaty and light then imported into Craft Artist for the backing papers and lace. For more details please visit my blog Sue xx

Cute Card Thursday ~ Guest Designer Spot by Rachel and Sue

Merry Christmas to everyone who celebrates! Rick and the entire EDT and FDT hope you have a lovely time with family and friends and that Santa is good to you.

It may be a day of rest and holiday for some but at Cute Card Thursday where Rick is sponsoring this time, it's time for a brand new challenge. The theme is Anything Goes. Participants have a chance to win a prize from Rick's Zibbet shop. We were fortunate to have two of our EDT guest design for this challenge.

Rachel here. I'm so happy to have a chance to GDT with my Rick St Dennis EDT hat on!
The images I have chosen for the card I made are definitely amongst the cutest Rick has to offer-
three different images were used to make this card - Star Pixies, Star Pixie, and Happy Stars- if you want these images you can follow the above links to their Zibbet listings!

I used the star Pixie Trio and the happy stars for the card front, with the solitary star pixie tucked on the inside with the Christmas sentiment.
The papers I have used from are the 'Christmas in July' pack from Pixel Scrapper, and the images were coloured up to match them- in some of my favourite colours!
For all the details please hop along to my blog, where you can find the full  list of ingredients and the copic key.

Merry Christmas everyone.

Thanks to Cute Card Thursday for inviting us to guest design for their Anything Goes Challenge. Thanks also to their DT for the fabulous projects they created with the Rick St. Dennis images. When you get a chance, pop over to their challenge blog to see them. You are sure to be inspired to play along.

Here's a cheerful card Hohoho using the Cocoa and Cookies Santa from RSD MFA. I've started with a green base card and then matted it with red card stock. I've then used a flocked green and white stripe paper from a Kaiser craft Christmas collection. I just love texture and dimension when I make cards. I've added some red glitter tape for a bit of bling and a cute little wooden gingerbread man. The   HoHo sentiment is from Kaiser Craft collectables. I've coloured Santa with Copic markers and added some kindy glitz on the fur of his suit. I've cut him out and popped him up with double sided tape.
The copics I used are:

Snowman with Squirrel

Hello!  It's Crafting Vicky here with you today I'm here to share with you a second page from my calendar project my youngest son's teacher.  He gave it to her yesterday... I have yet to find out if she liked it... Hope she did!  I'm always a bit scared giving homemade gifts even if they take forever to make!

Anyway,  there were some great images from RSD to use for it.  So the 2nd make that I'm sharing is for the month of January 2015 using a fab image from the zibbet store called Snowman with Squirrel.  I thought it was perfect for the cold month of January!!!  Perfect time to make snowman :)

It was so fun to color.  I followed the instructions from an animal coloring class that I took to make the little squirrel.  Pretty happy with the result

And here's a closer look at the image colored with my copics. I think the squirrel is looking quite fluffy :)  Sure helps that RSD images are so easy to color!

I hope you have liked my inspiration for you!!!  Check out all the other fabulous images in the Zibbet store or in the Etsy store!

Have a fabulous Thursday!!!!

Fallen Angel

Hi Fiona R here today with a Dark project using Rick's Creepmas Angel Dark Lady  available in his Zibbet Store. I coloured her up with copics going for the warm Grey family. Fussy cut her and put to one side. I used an 8x8 card blank and matted the skull background paper onto black cardstock then attached to the card base. I then die cut a frame using a spellbinders die from black cardstock. I created the text in photoshop, printed onto white card, cut and attached to the black frame with 3d foam to raise a little. The frame was the attached to the card. Dark angel was then attached to the card with 3d foam to make her pop. I then created an insert for inside the card in photoshop, printed, cut ad attached to the inside of the card. Quite pleased how this one turned out.

Inspirational from Rachel with Morning goddess Francie

Hello everyone, it is my turn to show you something pretty today, and it is another christmas card from me.. i'm so enjoying working my way through the Rick St Dennis christmassy images this year- even though i'm not a christmas fan usually, I am having a lot of fun!
The image I have chosen for this post is 'Morning Goddess Francie - Holiday Morning'

I coloured this card up using my usual mixture of copics and promarkers- one of these days I will hopefully have enough copics to not have to swap and change, but until then you get a hybrid when I need certain colours!

Copics used- E000,E00,E21,E11,E04,N2,N4,N6 R08, G99,G94,G21
E18,E15, E13

Promarkers used- Burgundy, cardinal, Crimson

The papers are from a long while back in my stash, and I have also used red cardstock and some large green gems.
the smaller matts and layers i hand cut into pennant shapes, and around the shorter one i have wrapped some silvery ribbon, then added a hand tied bow in the same ribbon on top. the image is popped up with some silicone glue dots .

I decided to decorate the inside of the card with the rest of the red striped paper sheet, and stamped 'merry christmas' onto it using one of my favourite bo bunny sentiment stamps- it must really be my favourite as i lost this stamp from my set and had to buy a new set to replace it :(

I think Francie makes a wonderful christmas card and i love the look on her little cat's face!

to see my other creations please do pop over and see me at my blog

have a good day everyone!

Jingle Bells ...

Hello all - it's Deborah here with you this morning.  I'm still on Christmas cards and here's another to share with you:

Sparkly Stuff - photo by Deborah Frings - Deborah's Gems

I found this really cute image in Rick's Zibbet shop - Billy Goldenbells - he's adorable.  I printed him onto white card, coloured him with Copic markers and cut him out with a die.  Keeping the image in the die I sponged on some colour.  Full details of the card can be found on my blog here.  I can see this cute guy appearing on cards in the future - he'd be perfect for a birthday card for a little boy!

If you want to see some of Rick's somewhat darker images, check out our sister blog, Airless Chambers - where we taking part in the 12 Days of Creepmas!!!

That's all for now - see you soon.

Santa with pipe

Hello!  It's Crafting Vicky here with you today I'm here to share with you a different project than my other usual cards!  I decided to make a little gift for my youngest son's teacher a calendar as her Christmas gift.

Of course there were some great images from RSD to use for it.  So the 1st make that I'm sharing is for the month of December 2015 using a fab image from the zibbet store called Santa with pipe

It was so fun to color.  I decided to go with non traditional colors for this image.  The stars on his coat inspired me :)

And here's a closer look at the image colored with my copics.

I hope you have liked my inspiration for you!!!  Check out all the other fabulous images in the Zibbet store or in the Etsy store!

Have a fabulous Monday!!!!

Holly Berry and Glitter Too.............

Hi everyone Fiona R here today sharing my latest creation with a little Christmas cutie from Rick. Now I don't normally do cute as I'm a bit partial to Rick's Darker images. But for this one I came out of my comfort zone and gave it a go and I even used glitter too...................LOL. I made a Christmas card and as I type it's in the air travelling to an international destination for a special lady. Hope she likes it. I used Ricks HOLLY BERRY IMAGE available in his Zibbet store. Coloured her up with copics then fussy cut her out. I then cut a red and white mat using my brother scan n cut. Ran the white mat through a swirly embossing folder and then highlighted all the swirls with glitter.Rubber Stamped a sentiment onto a piece of white cardstock, then matted onto a piece of red cardstock and rounded the corners. Attached with 3d foam to the card base. Miss Holly Berry was then given the glitter treatment also on the frills and sleeves. Then attached to the card base with 3d foam to make her pop off the card. A Red organza bow was then attached as the finishing touch.
Finished Card.

Progressive Challenge - part 2

Well - the day you've (hopefully) all been waiting for has arrived!
The second part of our progressive challenge.
In this part, you have to use the image Christmas Party Hat. Available from the Etsy store if you didn't get time to enter the first part. The progressive element of the challenge is that, if you enter the first part, you get the image free (so if you entered the november RSD progressive challenge please email Monique and she will send it to you asap) that is to be used in the next part of the challenge.

We regularly have a Facebook challenge that we'd love to see your projects entered into as well.
On facebook you can ogle at all the projects made by not only the EDT and facebook EDT but those made by YOU as well.

Whilst I have your attention, there are two other events going on in December in the Rick St Dennis part of blogland.
Firstly is the Pick of the Week/Month being held on Rick's own blog - Those projects that catch the eye of either Rick himself or by members of the EDT. For full deets I suggest you take a wander over there and check it out. Whilst you're there, please vote on your favourite.
The second event is over on the sister blog to this at Airless Chambers. Here you will see the daily posts being aired for the Smeared and Smudged annual Creepmas bloghop. Some amazing projects are promised and a daily visit will be worth it.

Back to the Progressive challenge; team A have been busy and have coloured up a storm with our lovely lady as star of the show

Helen Smith

The linky will be on a separate tab (as usual) so that it doesn't get lost in the flurry of posts that are due to materialise here over the next few weeks. Get those colouring pens/pencils out and get creating. Then come back and link up so that we can all oooooo and ahhhhhh over your creation.
See you in 2weeks for team B's artwork as midway inspiration.
